Well, it's officially cold enough that I'm starting to get wheel spin through second gear. I guess I should start thinking about switching back to my stock tune until spring.

Just means you need to start examining tire choices. Goodyear GT-IIs let me burn entirely through second gear in the rain while BFG Radial TAs actually hooked up.

Note: It's not that switching the program is hard, I just do it though my cruise control stalk, but it's just so much more fun having it on there. If anyone happens to have a Quaife diff for an '03 GTI that they can donate, that would save me from having to even worry about it. It's a good cause, seriously.

It's not the rain, it's the cold :p It's completely dry out. I'd like to start running separate summer & winter tires, but I just don't have the budget at the moment.
